I am continuing work on my commercial (product) portfolio. I recently saw an image by Karl Taylor that inspired me to shoot this:
It isn’t an identical image, particularly with the background treatment, but shooting glass and liquids is always a challenge. Bringing out the edges of glass and creating a warm glow in the liquor are particular challenges. And I continue my exploration of gradients.
I plan on shooting another brown liquor shot, as well as some clear ones like Vodka, but with differing background treatments (more in the line of what Karl has done). Gotta keep the creative juices flowing!
Speaking of juice, it’s a shame to waste a good prop now, isn’t it …
A good bourbon, BTW, should be drunk neat. Hence the title.
