Sometimes an idea just sticks in my head and I have to run with it.
One common element in my composites that I have yet to ween myself off of is showing full figures (including the feet). This is the hardest thing to do in a composite as the shadows and “anchoring” of feet to the surface is difficult to do. That’s why a lot of really good compositors like Joel Grimes never show the feet. That’s never felt quite right to me, though, hence the challenge. It feels like something is missing and I have trouble conceiving of images from say the waist up.
Oh well …
