Sometimes less is more. The Bosch 1617 is a classic. It does not have variable speed. It is not a plunge router. Yet it works. Well. Feels good in the hand. And I love those wood handles.
Needing to shoot power tools for a workshop, I selected one of my favorites. Lit simply, there is a large softbox behind a translum scrim on the left, with a gridded strip behind and to the right. That’s it. And enough shutter speed to kill the ambient, with that softbox providing just enough spill to add a little ambiance to the red toolbox behind.
